Unique Dog Trainer Gets Unmatched Results
No other dog trainer in the Waukesha and Milwaukee area has credentials approaching those of Rogue Dog Training. As a professional member of the APDT with ABCDT certification and a degree in psychology focusing on animal learning, Steve Terwilliger has a truly unique perspective on dog training. Classes are structured to maximize animal and human engagement in a fun, stimulating environment. Lesson plans and training techniques were developed with dogs’ natural learning pathways in mind to get better, long-lasting obedience. Reward based dog training focuses on building communication and strong bonds so dogs know what is expected of them to please their master. The results achieved by Rogue Dog Training are unmatched in efficacy and durability. When your dog is ready for basic obedience classes or needs a refresher, Rogue Dog Training has the skill and techniques to teach life-long good behavior.

Basic Group Obedience Classes: An Overview
The basic group obedience class is open to dogs at least 16 weeks old. All the basic dog commands you need are covered: sit, focus, down, stay, come, let’s go, leave it and loose leash walking. Dog training classes are an hour once a week for seven weeks and include a training manual and free lifetime email and phone support. The first class is humans-only and the following six weeks are used to train your dog. At the first class, you will need to show proof your dog has received vaccinations for rabies, distemper, and bordetella or your dog will not be allowed to attend the course. Between training classes, there is homework to help cement the lesson in your dog and let you practice the reward based techniques used during lessons. Rogue Dog Training always uses reward based training to get the best obedience from every dog and build a strong, life-long bond between canine and owner.

Group Dog Obedience Classes by Milwaukee’s APDT Professional Member and ABCDT Certified Trainer
Group dog obedience classes are a great way to socialize your puppy while teaching good behavior. Older dogs benefit from the reward based training offered in group training classes, too. When selecting a dog training class for your canine friend, make sure you choose a class taught by a certified dog trainer. Anybody can claim they know how to work with puppies and adult dogs, but Milwaukee’s Rogue Dog Training has the certification to prove it. Having your dog trained by an Animal Behavior College Certified Dog Trainer (ABCDT) and Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT) member means you can count on professional training techniques based on scientific fact. Our trainer holds a degree in psychology and has a deep understanding of learning processes, including behavioral conditioning. Rogue Dog Training’s group dog obedience classes are the best way to train your dog basic obedience.

Private, In-Home Dog Training in the Milwaukee and Waukesha Area
Think your dog could use a little extra attention or training? Rogue Dog Training offers personalized, private, one-on-one training classes for you and your pooch. Our dog trainer will come to your Milwaukee or Waukesha area home and give private dog training lessons geared specifically to you and your pet. If you live outside our service area, contact Rogue Dog Training and we will work out arrangements to provide top notch training classes for your dog. Private lessons are a great way for busy people to book dog training classes at a time convenient to their schedule. The individual attention given to your dog is perfect for correcting unwanted aggression or specific behavioral problems. Owners of several dogs can book private, in-home behavior classes to ensure harmonious interaction among their furry friends. Advanced obedience classes are available for dog owners looking to fine tune and improve on behaviors learned in the basic class. Whether you have a specific issue you want to correct, like excessive barking or aggression, want to train Fido the basic commands or perfect lessons learned in basic obedience, Rogue Dog Training has the professional, in-home training lessons you need.

Basic Obedience
Basic obedience is a foundational-level private course appropriate for all dogs. Lessons covered include come, sit, stay, down and many more commands. Teach your dog the essential commands in a fun, exciting class using reward based techniques from the comfort of your own home.

Shy and Reactive Dog Training
Some dogs are very shy or fearful while others overreact to specific stimuli. Shy dog training focuses on increasing communication between you and your dog to overcome canine anxiety. Reactive dog training will help your dog resist the urge to lunge or bark at specific things and is a great follow-up to the basic obedience class. Puppies and older dogs alike benefit greatly from shy and reactive training classes.

Potty Training Consultation
Potty training consultation is not a class per se, but Rogue Dog Training will come to your home and help you create an environment conducive to house breaking your puppy. Older or rescue dogs which urinate or defecate in the home are also great candidates for a potty training consultation.

Unwanted Aggression Reduction
An overly aggressive dog is a risk to animals and humans. This class is geared specifically towards reducing and ultimately eliminating unwarranted aggressive behaviors. Younger dogs with budding aggression issues are ideal candidates for unwanted aggression reduction training.

Beginner Group Obedience Classes
Group classes feature the same lessons as private basic obedience class, but with the added benefit of canine socialization. Any dog may enroll in beginner group classes regardless of age or breed.
